Conceived by four friends—including two brothers—the West End’s most recent restaurant serves Indian food in a beautiful contemporary space with a bar full of unique craft cocktails. As co-owner Venkata Kaza explains, “We want to present healthy options of South India with Minnesota sensibilities.” That means it’s about flavor—not heat. Kaza says too much heat means you cannot experience all the flavors of the dish. Though anyone who favors the heat will also find plenty to sweat about. There are more than 200 languages of India, and every region of the vast country has distinct spices.
